When it comes time to resurface, you want to ensure the job aligns with your design preferences, is completed with the upmost quality and integrity and is done correctly..the first time.
If your noticing unsightly stains that are difficult to remove, rough texture, potential leaks or your just ready to upgrade, it may be time to resurface the pool. Swimming pools should be resurfaced on average every 7-10 years.
If you are ready to resurface your concrete pool, your most economical choice is plaster, however, Open Quartz Aggregate like Diamond Brite or Quartz Scapes are more stain resistant than ordinary plaster; when the two are mixed together, you get an improved, durable surface that adds true sparkle to your pool water.

The first step in resurfacing a swimming pool is to drain the pool, ensure all equipment is in working condition and remove any surrounding pool décor such as furniture, pots and plants.
Next, we need to prep the swimming pool by chipping/sandblasting old damaged plaster and preparing the pool for new plaster of your choice. This stage can be the most tedious of all the steps because the noise and dust it creates. Rely on Spring Pool Services to clean as we go and ensure a clean work and living space during and after a day’s work. Our crews take special care to ensure that your backyard is restored to the same clean environment as when they began the process.
Now that your swimming pool has been prepped, you are ready for your new pool tile! Our highly experienced tile and masonry experts install your chosen tile, coping, and any other decorative features around the pool.
The next step is to go around to all pool features such as the main drain, returns, dedicated vacuum line, skimmer and light fixture to ensure all plumbing is properly sealed to prevent any future leaks from occurring. This is the time we will clean and acid wash the pool shell for new plaster to be laid.
After the plaster is laid, the final step in the pool resurfacing process is one of the most important steps to be completed for the longevity of your new pool surface; the initial water treatment. This process requires regular monitoring and service during the first month of the curing process. Spring Pool Services will be standing by to make sure this first month is made as seamless as possible.
A standard resurfacing can take 5-7 days to complete. The pool resurfacing process can be hindered by weather, however, and may take up to 14 days in certain cases.
Our crews, throughout the process of remodeling your swimming pool, take great pride in cleaning and removing all construction materials from your property after each day of the project. A thorough and final cleanup is performed at completion and all surrounding décor is put back to where it originated. If you have any questions about our process, please don’t hesitate to call or contact Spring Pool services. Our team is here to help and support you in any way we can.
